Jameson Gold Reserve is a discontinued premium expression from Jameson's extended range — a triple distilled pot still and grain blend matured in three cask types including virgin oak barrels, producing a rich, complex, and honeyed Irish whiskey that earned 94 points from Jim Murray's Whisky Bible and stands as one of the most accomplished expressions Jameson produced before the range was rationalised.

The three-cask maturation — virgin oak, seasoned bourbon barrels, and sherry casks — is the defining feature of Gold Reserve. Virgin oak contributes the toasted sweetness and complex wood sugar character that previously-used casks cannot provide; bourbon barrels add vanilla and caramel; sherry casks add dried fruit and spice. The combination produces a chewy, full-bodied Irish whiskey with more weight and complexity than the standard Jameson range while retaining the smoothness that triple distillation delivers. Gold Reserve was discontinued and is now available only in remaining stock — once sold, it will not be replenished.
